Travel Fortaleza, BrazilFortaleza is one of Brazil’s largest cities despite its remote location. The beaches here are spectacular, especially for city beaches. Because there is an international airport here, Fortaleza is the main jumping off point for many international travelers wanting to explore Northern Brazil. The city of Fortaleza also has a wonderful cultural center, which is worth a walk through. The main attractions here, though, are the beaches. Although the city beaches are nice, if you go just a few kilometers outside of the city center you will find even better and less crowded beaches. And if you go 20-30km out, you can reach Icarai and Cumbuco, both of which are much cleaner and offer buggy rides and wind and kite surfing.
